Getting around Aruba
Airport Transfers: Most tour wholesalers and charter operators offer shared or private roundtrip transfers in their packages. If airport/hotel/airport transfers are not included, guests have a variety of options that can be purchased in advance or at the airport. Taxis are a safe option and are always available outside the arrival hall.
Taxis
Taxis are readily available throughout Aruba for trips to and from shopping, restaurants, and other attractions and venues. Rates are established by the government and are based on destination rather than distance drive time. Taxi fare rates are priced per trip and per taxi not per person.
Car Rental
For guests renting a car, Aruba offers a wide range of auto rentals. Most major car rental companies have rental offices at the Aruba airport, but vehicles can often be rented at hotels as well. As in North America, driving is on the right-hand side of the road. The road signs in Aruba are different than those in North America, however they are marked in both English and Dutch.
Bus Service
Arubus provides reliable daily bus service from Aruba area hotels to and from downtown Oranjestad.
Daily and weekly passes are available for purchase.
