There are frequent nonstop or convenient single-connection flights from most major U.S. cities to Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA). No visa is required for U.S. and Canadian citizens, and as an added convenience, visitors can fill out their Embarkation-Disembarkation Card online before they leave.

U.S. PRE-CLEARANCE

Aruba is one fo the few islands in the Caribbean that has a U.S. Customs & Border Protection facility, where all passengers traveling to the United States are required to go through passport and customs control before boarding. All flights arriving in the U.S. from Aruba are considered domestic flights and passengers are not required to go through customs and immigration upon arrival.

Treat the group to a round of golf on one of two picturesque gould courses. Tierra del Sol Resort & Golf offers a challenging 18-hole PGA-approved course designed by Robert Trent Jones II, with sweeping panoramic ocean views. The nine-hole Links at Divi Aruba has beautifully manicured fairways and greens surrounded by lush vegetation.

Deep-Sea Fishing

In the waters off Aruba, your group can fish for an abundance of gamefish, including white and blue marlin, wahoo, mahi mahi, barracuda, amberjack, kingfish, sailfish, and yellowfin and albacore tuna. There are some 18 charter sport-fishing companies that will take groups out on half- or full-day excursions that typically leave from marina in Oranjestad.

Casinos are popular in Aruba. Also know as the “Las Vegas of the Caribbean,” the island is home to 12 casinos. They are in downtown Oranjestad, Eagle Beach, and Palm Beach. Three casinos are open 24/7, making for flexible planning.

Civil Marriages

Couples wishing to have a legal marriage ceremony in Aruba can do so at a small licensing ceremony at Aruba’s historic Town Hall. Couples say their “I do’s” in front of at least two witnesses and a court registrar. Afterwards, couples are free to exchange vows at an island setting of their coosing

Currently, same sex marriages cannot have a civil ceremony, but may arrange a symbolic ceremony with the help of a wedding planner at several resorts.

Religious Ceremonies

With some advance planning a submission of required documents couples can have a religious ceremony in Aruba. For Jewish and Catholic weddings, couples must first get married on the island in a synagogue or church, with the option for a blessing on the beach afterward. For Protestant weddings. couples can get married at the location of their choice on the island.

Aruba is recognized by the United Nations as an overall safe destination for LGBTQ travelers, and Arubans are generally cosmopolitan in their thinking and embrace diversity. TAG certification has various requirements, including a staff trained in diversity acceptance, as well as a staff comprised of members of the LGBTQ community.
